Matthew Modine

Modine is a veteran of over 50 films, including BIRDY, FULL METAL JAKET, PACIFIC HEIGHTS, ANY GIVEN SUNDAY and SHORT CUTS. He has worked with many of the most highly regarded directors in the industry, including Stanley Kubrick, Robert Altman, Spike Lee and Oliver Stone.

Modine is a Golden Globe award winner and a recipient of the Mostra Internazionale d’Arte Cinematografica di Venezia’s Volpi Cup for Best Actor. He also received Golden Globe and Emmy Award nominations for his performances in WHAT THE DEAF MAN HEARD and AND THE BAND PLAYED ON. On stage, he appeared in Arthur Miller’sResurrection Blues, directed by Robert Altman. He also worked with Arthur Miller inFinishing the Picture directed by Robert Falls at The Goodman Theatre in Chicago. Modine has directed four short films. WHEN I WAS A BOY, SMOKING, and ECCE PIRATE all debuted at the Sundance Film Festival to critical acclaim.
