Giacun Caduff (*1979) is a Basel/LA based producer, director, and event manager. He acquired his Bachelor’s degree in Film and Electronic Art at the California State University Long Beach. Giacun went on as an intern of John Malkovich and founded the „box[ur]shorts Film Festival“ in 2006, which shows short films in video jukeboxes. In 2008 he finished his Master of Arts in Creative Producing at the University of California in Los Angeles with the feature film ETIENNE!, a comedy about a terminally ill hamster and its owner. The award-wining film was shown at more than 25 film festivals to date. In 2014, he produced and directed the feature film 20 REGELN FÜR SYLVIE. Most recently, his production LA FEMME ET LE TGV, directed by Timo van Gunten and starring Jane Birkin, premiered at this year’s Locarno Film Festival. It is a charming short film which will be shown at the ZFF MASTER CLASS screenings. Giacun is also co-founder of the Basler Gässli Film Festival.
