In 2008, Christoph Daniel (32) and Marc Schmidheiny (32) founded the production company DCM together with Dario Suter in Berlin. Since then, the native Swiss CEOs are in charge of project development and production of DCM Pictures. Since Joel Brandeis joined the partners in 2010, they are a Swiss quartett.
After the success of their feature film WAFFENSTILLSTAND, DCM decided to gain a foothold in distribution as well. In 2011, they partned up with the long-standing Berlin DELPHI Filmverleih, which they successfully refloated, and started distributing under their own name DCM. Among the most prestigious films in their distribution catalogue are the award-winners THE ARTIST, LA GRANDE BELLEZZA, and CAROL.
Since their establishment in 2008, DCM co-produced hit films like KON-TIKI, Dustin Hoffman’s directorial debut QUARTET and the adaptation of the Nick Hornby bestseller A LONG WAY DOWN. Since 2013, they also produce the beloved children’s film series BIBI & TINA. Last year, they celebrated a festival success with the refugee drama MEDITERRANEA.
