„Having made close to ten shorts and understanding my own style, perspective and what I am looking for in cinema much better than at the beginning of my journey, I feel that I have reached a point where I can truly use the knowledge of others to the best benefit of my films and confront it with my own experience in the most meaningful way.“

Ola Jankowska is a Polish director and writer living and working between Poland and the UK. At 17 she won her first professional screenwriting competition. At 18 she got a place at the Directing course in the Polish National Film School in Lodz. Her first fiction short there, Strawberry Fields, won 1st prize at a Polish national TV competition. In 2010 she moved to England to continue her education at the NFTS, which she finished in 2013.

She has written and directed close to 10 shorts, which screened at international festivals and showcases around the world (inc. London, New York, Angers, Thessaloniki, Sydney, Bogota, Krakow, Warsaw) and some of them have been bought by TV channels. She was a Ministry of Culture scholar in 2014 and in the same year she was developing her first feature film ANATOMIA (old: THE PASSENGERS) at the prestigious TorinoFilmLab Script&Pitch.

ANATOMIA is an international co-production between Oscar-winning Opus Film in Poland (IDA) and Kometa Films in France. Ola is also a current participant at the CPH:LAB, where she is working on a documentary film with another director. She has also taken part in other programs such as European Short Pitch and Studio New Horizons.
